I know some greedy kids, who would kill for an extra Snickers bar, but who knew their appetite for violence could be traced back to Halloween candy consumption? According to Britain's Economic and Social Research Council, daily candy consumption is linked to violent crime.

Another Halloween is coming and my kids are starting to get ideas. My son likes to stick close to home and give out candy. This usually involves trying to also scare people that come to the door. My daughter is the adventurous sort.

I did it. I succumbed to the fear... nay, the reality, that the dinosaur costume my 5-year had to HAD. TO. have for Halloween might not be hanging in Toys R Us later this month. Yes, I bought the overpriced green fleece ensemble complete with plush claws... last month... shortly BEFORE Labor Day.
