I love watching The Food Network. And by love, I mean I can name off a list of chefs like it is nobody’s business. Sometimes I see the stuff they cook on there and want to make it myself (provided it isn’t too complicated). But, the recipes are not always healthy, which some U.S. nutritionists pointed out on the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Which chefs in particular did they call out? Barefoot Contessa Gets Burned

Food Network star Ina Garten, a.k.a. the “Barefoot Contessa,” is feeling the burn, but it’s not from logging extra miles on a treadmill. Obviously. Rather, the celebrity chef got scorched earlier this week when she was forced to down a huge helping of humble pie during the latest chapter of her Make-a-Wish Foundation debacle. You know, I really enjoy watching Ina Garten whip up healthy and inspired dishes on her Food Network show “Barefoot Contessa.” Sure, she is a multi-millionaire celebrity chef, who lives in an immaculately clean mansion in the Hamptons, and tools around in a posh Mercedes, which is about as far away from my reality as humanly possible, but on TV our differences seem to melt away.
