Looking for a unique holiday gift that also shows off your little darling? Have you considered personalized food? Remember the boxes of Wheaties with your favorite sports figure on it? Well, now you can also have your child's image adorning a box of Wheaties . Just go here and upload a photo. Caution: they are a bit pricey- $35 for one box. Or maybe I'm just frugal! You can also choose from mugs ($19), a t-shirt and box set ($50), magnets ($5) and a few more items.

A better deal is a 12-pack of soda from the Jones soda company, complete with a seven-line message on the back. You get to pick flavors like green apple and orange. You can even get a turkey and gravy flavored soda! Although I'm not sure why you would want to. The cost is also $35 but at least you can divide the pack up and give one soda to 12 different people. You can find out about ordering by going here.

If you want to send a personalized holiday message from your whole family you may want to try personalized M & M's, or Heinz ketchup, or a big old Hershey chocolate bar. Again, the price of personalization does not come cheap. M & M's will run you $45 for four 8-0z bags. But that does not seem to stop consumers-- the company reports that they receive over 1,000 orders a day. One 20 oz. bottle of ketchup costs $6. You can create your own message or choose from stock messages. If you want to order a 2 pound candy card from Hershey, with a maximum 24 character message, you will have to shell out $20. A 3 pound card costs $30.

Of course, you can make your own personalized items and save a lot of money. If you have a digital camera you can make some really nice personalized calendars. They are easy to make and you can get your kids involved in the process.
