Now that your Thanksgiving guests are gone and the holiday leftovers are slowly disappearing you can finally kick up your feet and relax for a bit. After all, it won't be long before you'll have to get up again to drag out the Christmas decorations, trim the tree, bake cookies, finish (or start) shopping for presents and get the house back in order for round two of holiday guests.

But before you get caught up in the countdown to Christmas chaos consider taking a few minutes to see what you missed in the PARENTS blog this week:

November 24th---Desperate Dad vs. Unsympathetic Electric Company. How far would you go to protect your children? One father was put to the test earlier this month when his power company threatened to pull the plug on his electricity. Find out what this dedicated dad did to save his daughter from a potentially deadly situation.

November 25th---A Thanksgiving to Remember. You'll give thanks for things you ordinarily take for granted after reading this touching blog about a little boy who lost everything in the California wildfires.

November 26th---Warning to Parents: Watch Your Kids... Especially at Chuck E. Cheese. How often do you use the Kids Check program at Chuck E. Cheese? You might reconsider having your children take part in the restaurant-run security program after reading this blog.

November 27th---Parents Confused After Daughter Gets Boot From Girl Scouts. Find out why an 8-year-old girl got kicked out of her local Brownie troop and why her story is making national news.

November 28th---What Kinds of Parents Take Their Children Shopping on Black Friday? If you have ever braved the brutal crowds at stores on Black Friday then you know they are not the ideal places to take small children. This blog illustrates why kids are better off staying home on the day after Thanksgiving.

November 29th---Another Reason to Encourage Your Children to WRITE a Letter to Santa. Find out how your kid's handwritten letter to Santa can brighten the day of a severely ill child.

November 29th---Holiday Family Bonding Around the TV. Who says everything on TV is bad for kids? This time of year networks recycle classic Christmas programs that are family-friendly. I detail some of my favorites in this blog.

November 30th---The Annual Holiday Family Newsletter-Nay or Yea? Are you one of those parents who recounts a year's worth of family events for the annual holiday newsletter? If so you might be interested in reading this blog.
