Blaming the Teacher

There is a disturbing trend that is growing. Perhaps it is the absence of proper formation in high schools. Perhaps it is the increased media saturation on television and mobile devices. Perhaps it is a byproduct of the soundbite culture and a loss of the ability to pay attention or pay respect. The Effect of Parents on Parenting

In the forum we’ve been discussing the effect our parents have on us and the way we raise our children. It makes interesting reading. The other day I finished reading ‘A Boy in Winter; by Maxine Chernoff. This book raises more questions than it answers. In it, a child accidentally shoots another child with a bow and kills him. Poll Says Poor Parenting to Blame for Violent Behavior

When kids turn to violence, often the parents are blamed. The recent violence in Virginia has many people pointing fingers. A recent poll by the Family Education Network shows that 32% of respondents blame “poor parenting and problems at home”, as the factor most responsible for school shootings.
