Diary of a Cat Care B&B: Sympathy with Pet Parents

Early last month, when I had my interview with the cats only boarding facility, one of the things they mentioned they were looking for was sympathy. Compassion. Not only for cats in all different states of mind, but for the owners, too. Often, the owners are dropping off their babies for the very first time. What Can Be Done About Procrastinating Kids?

I haven’t yet figured out if procrastination is a temperament trait, learned behavior, or whether or not it is something that I can do anything about as a parent–but I haven’t entirely given up hope. With two of my three children being pretty serious procrastinators, I’ve worked over the years to try to figure out why, but to also help them find ways of combating the procrastination and developing some coping skills.
