There is a wide variety of parenting styles to choose from. Ultimately, each parent is going to select one that they feel works best for them. It is worth considering that not every parenting style is a healthy choice for children. A study found that intrusive parenting can be harmful to children. Forget about emotionally scarring your kids by enrolling them in a litany of extra-curricular activities. According to a new study, the endless stream of piano lessons, soccer practices, Cub Scout meetings and ballet recitals, is more stressful on parents than anyone else. A father from Florida has just given new meaning to the term “helicopter parent.” Hovering over your kid in an attempt to preserve his well-being is one thing, but hovering over his school in order to impress other students is pushing the envelope a bit.
