I have had a crazy week this week. I celebrated my 10-year anniversary and my husband's birthday. I had what seemed like a million other things to do. As a result I didn't get many blogs written this week. But I did want to take a few minutes to review what has been written for my own benefit and for yours.

Monday Myra shared this tidbit. Good News For Older Women Who Are Trying To Conceive: Acupuncture May Boost Fertility.

Parenting With Love and Logic is a great book that helps parents recognize their parenting style and then teaches them how to take the good and get rid of the bad.

Do you have a toddler that hits and bites? I have which is why I wrote the blog 10 Ways to Prevent Aggression in Toddlers. Hopefully some of the ideas will help you too.

Tuesday In a country where childhood obesity is on the rise articles like How To: Make Healthy Eating, Exercise A Part of Your Family's Daily Routine, How To Prevent Childhood Obesity, and Getting Your Kids Off The Sofa are important. Take a minute to read about how you can help keep your family healthy.

Are You A Perfectionist? I know I am. This week I was supposed to make sugar cookies for an activity the same day as I spent three hours giving service, two hours at the doctor, and baked a birthday dinner and pie for my husband. As a result the cookies didn't get made instead I called and said that I couldn't do it, something that I hate doing. Just like Myra said sometimes you have to give something up.

In her article Myra has some great advice on How to Soothe A Sick Child. Something unfortunately that we have all had to deal with.

Wednesday Every year children all over the country take standardized tests. These tests determine how smart your child is and how well their teacher is teaching. In her blog What Parents Can Do To Help Kids Prepare For Standardized Testing Myra outlines some important things that parents should do to ensure that their child does as well as possible.

Too Fat To Have A Baby. It is sad that some women are being discriminated against because of their weight. Yet I actually had a very overweight friend who tried for about seven years to get pregnant. Then when she lost 100 pounds she got pregnant. So being overweight can affect your ability to get pregnant. Many parents don't realize that insurance is available for their children with the CHIP program. So I appreciate Myra's blog on State Run Health Insurance Programs. For other state run programs for children visit Free Health and Education Services Offered for Young Children

Thursday I did manage to get a blog written about our family Picking Pumpkins At A Pumpkin Patch. It is a lot of fun and I highly recommend that if you have any pumpkin patches nearby that you make the trip.

I can't imagine what it was like to have lived through the Hurricane Katrina. But Myra knows first hand. In her article Helping Kids Cope With Natural Disasters she talks about how parents can help their children deal with fears and overcome. I think the article is good for adults as well.

Book Review: Mom Overboard features 12 lifesavers that every mother needs.

Friday

I Have The Pumpkin, Now What? You carve it and Myra gives parents instructions on how to do it. It's her first time carving. So good luck Myra.

New Product: Musical Toothbrush Aims To Get Kids To Brush Longer. I wonder if it really works?

If you are concerned about violence in video games then realize that you are not alone. Which is why recently a Video Game Bill Passed In The Senate.

New Product: PredatorWatch Protects Your Kids From Online Predators This is a great resource for parents to help protect their kids. Thanks Myra for bringing it to our attention.

Saturday Are you aware that Parents Can Control The Video Games Their Child Plays? If not then you need to read this blog and take control of your child's gaming.
