About a year ago I abandoned my local Sunday newspaper and took comfort in the arms of the grand old lady, The New York Times. I pay a small fortune for the privilege of receiving this beefy two-part Sunday paper, double bagged and waiting for me at the end of my driveway each weekend morning, but it is worth every penny. Using The Comics As A Teaching Tool

Fellow parenting blogger, Kori, recently wrote a blog about how she uses the newspaper as a way to jump-start conversations with her teens. I have also found the newspaper to be an invaluable teaching tool. Every section can be used to teach a new concept or reinforce one that your kids are learning.
